Freelance Project Manager

As a Freelance Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering digital marketing projects within scope, timeline, and budget. You will work closely with our Accounts Directors, as well as our SEO, Digital PR, Content and Paid Media Teams, to ensure client satisfaction and high-quality outcomes. Your role is pivotal in ensuring efficient workflows, clear communication, client expectation management and the alignment of our teams towards the client goals.

About you:

We are hiring for someone to support us on a freelance basis for this role, and are looking for someone who:

  • Has 3+ years of experience in project management within a digital marketing or search marketing agency 
  • Strong understanding of SEO, Paid Media, Content strategy and Digital PR 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment 
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Asana, Trello, or Monday.com 
  • Experience working with clients and managing expectations effectively 
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on delivering results and driving efficiency 
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is a bonus but not essential 

About the role:

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables for multiple search marketing campaigns. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring efficient collaboration between SEO, digital PR, paid media, content, and analytics teams. 
  • Act as one of the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations. 
  • Track project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement solutions to meet deadlines. 
  • Optimise internal project management workflows and identify areas for continuous improvement. 
  • Facilitate effective communication across all stakeholders, internally and externally. 
  • Utilise project management tools to streamline operations and maintain transparency. 

Location: Hybrid working with ideally at least one day per week in our Brighton office  

Our working policy is ‘work where you do your best work’, whether that’s in our Brighton office, at your home, or somewhere else.  Our office is set up with hot desks for anyone who chooses to work there.  

You’d be expected to travel to client and team meetings from time to time. We’d ideally like you in the Brighton office at least one day per week, and we’d expect you to join your team at least once a month in the office for face-to-face training and team anchor days. 

 Salary: Dependent on experience
